Description
The Fulbright Canada Scholar Entrepreneurship Award is designed for scholars who wish to combine their academic research with entrepreneurial ventures. As part of the Fulbright Canada Entrepreneurship Initiative (FCEI), this award supports scholars in conducting research while providing the necessary resources to transform innovative ideas into successful entrepreneurial endeavours.
The Fulbright Canada Scholar Entrepreneurship Award aims to equip scholars with the tools and knowledge necessary to succeed in both their academic and entrepreneurial pursuits, fostering positive social and economic change through innovative solutions.
This award offers scholars a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into the entrepreneurial process, learn from industry leaders, and connect with the global Fulbright network.

Eligibility
Canadian applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent terminal degree and have innovative ideas with potential for significant social impact.
Applicants must also meet the Fulbright Canada Traditional Scholar Award eligibility criteria.

Application Deadline
Applications must be submitted electronically on or before November 15.

Screening and Assessment
Applications are assessed for eligibility and completeness, and assigned to the appropriate subcommittee for adjudication.
January
Adjudication Committee Meeting
The adjudication committee meets to rank applications and make recommendations.
Mid-February
Board of Directors Reviews/Approves Committee Recommendations
The Board reviews all recommended applicants to ensure fit to program.
March
J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FSB) Review
All recommended candidates require FSB approval.
April 15
Grantees Notified
All selected and non-selected candidates are notified, including those on the reversion list.
