Excellence in scholarship, diversity, and community service are hallmarks of the Fulbright Program. Fulbright Canada strengthens binational collaborative research and promotes thoughtful public debate on topics that reflect the broad range of contemporary issues relevant to Canada, the United States, and the relationship between the two countries.

Fulbright Canada awards offer a unique opportunity to explore a wide range of scholarly issues, including important contemporary issues that are relevant to Canada, to the United States, and to the relationship between the two countries. While the competition is officially field-open, we are especially keen to support scholars in the humanities, in the areas of communications and culture, in Canadian - American relations, in all areas of contemporary public policy, on topics relating to culture and to the environment, law, indigenous issues, and in pure and applied sciences. Please note that there are special competitions in certain areas and that these may vary over time and under particular circumstances.
