We are pleased to present a speaker series focused on the post-COVID world.  In bringing Fulbright Canada subject-matter experts to our broader community, our goal is to create opportunities for thoughtful discussion on a range of critical issues such as enhancing public health and wellbeing, contributing to digital transformation, and finding solutions to social and economic recovery.

 The first event in this series will take place on May 26, 2020, at 5 PM (EDT). The featured speaker is Dr. Lloyd (Chip) Taylor, 2017 Fulbright Canada - Palix Foundation Distinguished Visiting Research Chair in Brain Science, and Child and Family Health and Wellness. Dr. Taylor, a licensed clinical psychologist, is Professor and Head of the Department of Psychology at The Citadel in Charleston South Carolina. His primary area of research and clinical work is in the field of pediatric psychology.

His discussion on Mental Health and Resiliency during COVID-19 will focus on the:

  • unpredictability and uncertainty associated with COVID-19;
  • invisibility of COVID-19 and its impact on mental health;
  • social isolation associated with COVID-19;
  • resource impacts associated with COVID-19; and,
  • impact of COVID-19 on colleges, students, and matriculation.
