Join Dr. Tanya Meisenholder and Dr. Chris Chevallier in this webinar where they will discuss their work in public safety and research to advance gender equity, as well as the trans*, non-binary, and gender nonconforming community. Dr. Meisenholder will discuss the 30 x 30 Initiative’s to improve the recruitment and experiences of women in law enforcement. Additionally, she will highlight inclusionary New York City Police Department initiatives while she was as an executive there. Dr. Chevallier will illustrate examples about how digital mapping and survey research can be used as a versatile means of improving community engagement and the well-being of coworkers. Chris will also highlight how their love and professional journey as a geographer began during their Killam Fellowship. The speakers intend to provide the audience with ideas and concrete examples of how to better foster equity within their workplace and operations.
