The Walrus Talks National Tour, Conversations about Canada: We Desire a Better Country
A Signature Canada 150 Initiative
Fulbright Canada is pleased to announce its partnership with The Walrus Foundation for The Walrus Talks National Tour, Conversations about Canada: We Desire a Better Country, a Signature Initiative to celebrate to 150th Anniversary of Canada’s Confederation. The annual Walrus Foundation gala on January 18th, 2017, will mark the launch the tour and the Talks will run from March 1st to May 31st, 2017, stopping in each of Canada’s 13 provinces and territories.
Each Talk during the tour will feature a unique series of eight speakers– four youth leaders and four members of the Order of Canada – who will explore a distinctive topic relating to the future of Canada and how it can evolve in the next 50 years.
Fulbright Canada is thrilled that several Fulbright Canada alumni are set to speak at the Talks throughout Canada as youth leaders. This will not be the first time our alumni have found themselves talking at the Walrus Talks. Fulbright Canada alumni Clint Davis and Joel Heath inspired the audience at the Walrus Talks Arctic in Ottawa on September 22nd, 2016.
Tickets are free of charge, with the exception of Montreal on April 1, 2017, and they are reserved on a first-come-first-served basis.
Be sure to check below if there is a Walrus Talk near you and reserve your seat now!
